The provision of a more personalised approach to the care of families who have lost a child, by providing items for bereavement rooms, clothing for the child, cuddle blankets, and other support we identify along the way.
Reuben's Retreat, the wonderful charity that supported us, had recently been asking for support getting some items that are used to support families like ours. We were so pleased to be able to purchase some of the books they had requested, such as 'Signs' and 'Grief in Children - a Guide for Adults' and also a lovely book shelf that they had also requested some support to purchase.
It is never a good thing when we are asked back to a hospital, we never want to have to restock any of the support we supply, as sadly this only means that it has been needed by a family. We have recently agreed to undertake a very meaningful and hopefully very helpful project at Francis House Children's Hospice, in the North West. We are working very hard behind the scenes, as this project will probably take us into the new year, but please keep your eyes peeled come 2026!!!!
